Overview

The Dansensor® PC software for Modified Atmosphere Packaging is indispensable to many Quality Control Managers. The software is capable of controlling several CheckMate units simultaneously, which provides an easy way to evaluate data in large MAP production environments, manage product measurement details, monitor device settings and much more.

The 2.14 version of the Dansensor PC software is required for downloading the measuring data. Upgrade kits for both Dansensor CheckMate ll (part number 290190) and Dansensor CheckMate lll (290142) are available from local AMETEK MOCON distributors.

Headspace analyzers:
Besides the Modified Atmosphere Packaging software, we provide other products for headspace analysis. Below you’ll find a brief introduction to each of the products in the family:
  • Dansensor® CheckMate 3
The CheckMate software can be used with the Dansensor CheckMate 3, which is recognized as one of our most accurate headspace gas analyzers. It is capable of measuring both O2 and headspace gas containing O2 and CO2. Furthermore, it is able to analyze headspace in MAP products of all shapes and sizes.
  • Dansensor® CheckPoint®  3
This portable headspace gas analyzer can be used for measuring O2 levels in MAP products of all shapes and sizes. The PC software for Modified Atmosphere Packaging works with this particular gas analyzer and comes with a 30-day free trial.
  • Dansensor® Can Piercer
The headspace gas of milk powder cans, wine bottles and similar kinds of containers can easily be measured using the Dansensor Can Piercer tool with Dansensor CheckMate 3 or Dansensor CheckPoint 3.
  • Dansensor® OpTech
Dansensor OpTech is made for laboratory use and relies on a non-invasive method for measuring O2 levels in MAP products. The Dansensor OpTech promises high accuracy of headspace measurement and fast reading times; it consumes no gas for its measurement.

Applications

The Dansensor® PC software for Modified Atmosphere Packaging is capable of:

  • controlling several CheckMate units simultaneously, which provides an easy way to evaluate data in large MAP production environments, manage product measurement details, monitor device settings and much more.
  • downloading the measuring data

Use one package to test for:

  • Oxygen headspace: Measure residual oxygen within modified or controlled atmosphere packages
  • Carbon dioxide headspace: Measure residual carbon dioxide within modified or controlled atmosphere packages
  • Seal or material strength: Analyze seals or material strength of a package by measuring the peak pressure at which the seals separate or the material bursts
  • Leak detection: Detect package leaks through pressure decay analysis
  • One-way valve testing: Analyze the burst pressure required to actuate a degassing valve and test for leaks in the valve and valve seating
  • Ideal for a broad spectrum of packages where modified and controlled atmosphere is used to extend shelf life

Features and benefits of the MultiCheck package integrity system for headspace and leak test:

  • Save costs by using one package for all five tests
  • Save time by conducting multiple tests in one sequence
  • Get answers to five critical conditions existing in your package environment
  • Software enables users to create testing protocols, link them to SKUs and log data to a PC
  • Software also provides statistical analysis and easily plots out data, offering easy to read charts grouped by package run, shift and set up time
  • Reduce testing set up time
  • Optional barcode reader can be used to log tests against the UPC's
  • The PAC CHECK® 302 and 325 come with Cal-Smart® - MOCON's no tank gas, smart calibration system

Portable Gas Analyzer for quality control of modified atmosphere packages (MAP).

  • Different sensor variants ensure compatibility with all applications

Overview

By combining a headspace gas analyzer, leak detector and valve tester in one unit, the Dansensor® MultiCheck® 2 helps you achieve fast, consistent, and reliable quality control of your MAP packaging process.

Designed specifically for the coffee industry, the Dansensor MultiCheck 2 helps to ensure that the characteristic taste and aroma of your products are preserved and that your brand reputation is protected. It is equipped with specialized filters and sensors for coffee applications – though it is also suitable for other applications. In addition, you can conduct integrated valve leak and valve release tests on degassing valves with the optional valve testing unit (VTU), so the integrity of your entire package is accurately tested and recorded in a combined report.

Increase the uptime of your packaging line with this reliable analyzer and avoid time consuming troubleshooting exercises when inconsistencies arise. Moreover, reduce the risk of human error and improve your quality management with dependable data storage and real time data transfer. The instrument can store test results from more than 100,000 tests.

With the ability to conduct four tests in one – headspace gas analysis, leak detection, valve leak and valve release – the Dansensor MultiCheck 2 is 50% faster, takes less space, and is more user friendly than its predecessors. It takes up less space and is more user friendly with an intuitive user interface. In addition, there are dedicated ports for the test head and VTU and USB ports for connecting additional accessories, such as a barcode scanner or keyboard. It also includes the option to conduct a burst test, to help you establish the settings and limitations for your package testing. Up to 999 product test settings can be programmed into the unit to ensure consistent test parameters.

The Dansensor MultiCheck 2 is designed for easy maintenance and cleaning, so you can proactively preserve the accuracy of your measurements and ensure uptime. Use the self-rinsing backflush program regularly to remove particles and contaminants from the system and replace the easy-to-access filters on the test head.

Headspace gas analyzers & Leak detectors:

The Dansensor® MultiCheck® 2 combines the functions of both a headspace analyzer and a leak detector in one convenient unit. See other examples of single function instruments here:

  • Dansensor® CheckMate 3
A highly accurate benchtop headspace analyzer, the Dansensor CheckMate 3 is a cost-effective solution that allows for operators to measure both O2 and gas mixtures combining O2 and CO2.
  • Dansensor® Lippke® 5000
Dansensor Lippke 5000 provides reliable seal strength and pressure leak testing of many types of packaging. It can be used in production, laboratory environments and throughout the supply chain to test package integrity.
  • Dansensor® LeakPointer® 3 and Dansensor® LeakPointer® 3+
